An account built for your news strategy
Use the Fundamental account when your strategy aims to trade price movements around high-impact economic news.
High-impact news trading
News trading is permitted on Fundamental, including trading around events marked red in the Forex Factory economic calendar.
Defined margin conditions
Maximum leverage of 1:70, a 100% margin call level and a 60% stop-out level. Execution during fast markets remains subject to available liquidity.
Opening and transfer support
Contact NPE Market support to open a Fundamental account or arrange a transfer for your news trading strategy.
Gaps and slippage
Liquidity may fall sharply during news. Prices can gap, and stop loss or stop out cannot guarantee execution at the intended price. Significant slippage is possible.
Fundamental account conditions
Review these conditions before trading a high-impact release.
Understand the rules before the release
What counts as news trading?
News trading around high-impact releases, including events marked red in the Forex Factory calendar, is available only through the Fundamental account. Opening a position or increasing its size ahead of a release with the intention of holding it through the announcement and benefiting from the resulting price movement also counts, even if the order is placed before the official release time.
Can I keep an existing position open on another account?
An existing position alone is not a breach. Positions opened in the ordinary course of trading may be held through a release, reduced or closed. The restriction concerns positions created specifically to benefit from news volatility with unusual exposure, full margin or near-full margin.
What happens with full-margin news trading on a non-Fundamental account?
Using all or most of the account’s equity or free margin to create a full-margin or near-full-margin position and hold it through a high-impact release is prohibited on ordinary accounts. This also applies when the position is opened before the release. Trading may be restricted or suspended, the account may become Close Only, and further news trading may require a transfer to Fundamental. Profits from trades that breach these conditions are not payable and may be adjusted out of the account. Actual trading losses remain recorded on the account.
Are stop loss and stop out guaranteed during news?
Liquidity can fall sharply during major releases, while prices can move rapidly or gap. Stop loss and stop out do not guarantee execution at the intended price. Trades may execute with significant slippage.
How is a negative balance handled?
These news trading conditions do not change NPE Market’s Negative Balance Protection policy. A negative balance arising from actual market conditions is reviewed under the applicable negative-balance rules.
