Two logins, two passwords
| Client area | MT5 | |
|---|---|---|
| Username | your email | trading account number |
| Password | client-area password | trading password |
| Reset from | the sign-in page | client area → account settings |
Most "I can't log in" messages are one of these being used in the other place.
Client area
Wrong password
Use Forgot password on the sign-in page. The reset link expires in 30 minutes; request a new one if it has.
Two-factor code not accepted
Codes rotate every 30 seconds. Check the phone's clock is set to automatic — a drifted clock generates wrong codes. If the authenticator app is lost, use a backup code, or contact support with your verified identity.
Account locked
Five failed attempts lock sign-in for 15 minutes. Wait, then use the reset link rather than guessing again.
MT5
"Invalid account" or "Authorization failed"
One of the three details is wrong. In order: the server (demo and real differ), the login (digits only, no spaces), the password (trading, not client-area). Reset the trading password from the account's settings in the client area if needed.
"No connection"
The terminal cannot reach the server. Check the internet connection, then right-click the connection indicator at the bottom-right and choose Rescan servers. On a restricted network, try the mobile app on mobile data to confirm whether the network is the cause.
I changed the trading password and MT5 on my phone still works.
The phone saved the old session. It will ask for the new password next time it reconnects.
Still stuck.
Contact support with the exact error text and whether it is the client area or MT5. A screenshot of the error saves a round trip.
